On this week's show, host Stacy Pearl is joined by her lovely mother Bernice. They start with two great holiday hors d'oeuvres; goat cheese balls rolled in bacon and pecans and a traditional Spanish egg and potato torta. The excellent ingredient of the week is leeks and Stacy gives a nice recipe for a leek and Gruyere tart. The refreshing beverage of the week is homemade celery soda, which for some reason goes well with a corned beef and pastrami sandwich. And finally in the altitude adjustment section we have a recipe for a classic French daquoise from La Cote Basque in New York City.
