Sangrita and Tequila

Angela's Refreshing Beverage of the Week
Sangrita and Tequila filled frozen limes

12 limes, ends trimmed, cit crosswise in half — cut bottoms so they can fit flat on tray
2 1/4 cups fresh orange juice
5 tbsp grenadine syrup
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cayenne pepper
reposado tequila

Squeeze lime halves in a juicer to extract as much juice as possible. Transfer 3/4 cup lime juice to bowl; cover and chill. Use scissors to cut out membrane and hollow out limes. Place limes in a bag and freeze at least 4 hours.

Mix orange juice, 3/4 cup lime juice, grenadine, salt, and cayenne in blender. Transfer mixture to pitcher. Cover sangrita and refrigerate until cold, about 2 hours. You can chill tequila as well.

When ready to serve pour sangrita in 12 lime halves and tequila in the other 12. Drink and enjoy!
